What To Expect

We understand that counseling may be new experience for you and would like to help you understand what to expect...

The initial visit at counseling professionals includes a review of each client's history, medical disorders or prior diagnosis, medication taken, and discussion of the potential goals of therapy.  Your sessions will typically run between 45 and 50 minutes. During that time, you are free to discuss any issues with us. This is a completely safe and confidential environment for you to express your struggles, feelings, and frustrations without any fear of being judged.

You may be assigned homework to complete between appointments.  Please remember that any assignment given is for your benefit to help you grow and become a happier individual. While some assignments may be easy, others may be a little more difficult, however, we will work with you in completing these tasks and help you along the way to becoming your best you.

If you have made an appointment and this is your first visit, please print and fill out the new client form in the Forms section, and bring it with you to your first session.

We look forward to meeting you and want to thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your family.
